Manchester United 4/11 not to win a trophy in 2024/25
Following the appointment of Ruben Amorim as manager, Manchester United will be looking to win silverware this season but the bookmakers go odds-on that the season will finish with the Red Devils empty-handed.
Manchester United won the 2024 FA Cup Final and claimed a much-needed piece of silverware. The Old Trafford trophy cabinet hasn’t exactly been bulging in recent seasons but under new manager Ruben Amorim – who takes the reins later this month – hopes are high that silverware will be forthcoming this season.
FA Cup – 14/1
Manchester United won the FA Cup for the 13th time in the club’s history thanks to a 2-1 win over arch-rivals Manchester City in 2024, however they are well down the betting market to repeat this feat in 2025 and successfully defend their trophy. This season’s competition has yet to start for the Premier League sides but as things stand, the Red Devils are as high as 14/1 (lowest odds 8/1) to lift the trophy next year, leaving them behind the likes of Man City (7/2), Arsenal (7/1), Liverpool (10/1) and Chelsea (10/1).
Carabao Cup – 8/1
Manchester United got their Carabao Cup campaign under way in impressive fashion with a convincing 7-0 demolition of Barnsley in the third round of the competition and they followed this with an equally impressive 5-2 win over Leicester City. Despite this excellent start, the Red Devils are far from favourites to win this piece of silverware in 2024/25 at a best price of 8/1 (lowest odds 9/2). Arsenal are favourites to win this season’s Carabao Cup at 5/2, while Liverpool, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur all sit above Man United in the betting at best odds of 11/4, 6/1 and 6/1 respectively.
Premier League – 200/1
Manchester United have struggled to get going in the Premier League this season and while they thrashed Leicester City 3-0 in their most recent top-flight outing, a lowly position of 13th in the league table is a reflection of the fact that the side have managed wins in just four of their eleven Premier League games. Indeed, the Red Devils are as high as 200/1 to win this season’s Premier League title, only a little ahead of 250/1 shots Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest and the same odds as Aston Villa.
Europa League – 6/1
In European competition, Manchester United haven’t been faring too well with their four Europa League games returning just a single win, however they have yet to taste defeat in the competition with three draws coming their way. The Red Devils opened their account with a 1-1 draw at home to FC Twente and followed this with a thrilling 3-3 draw away to FC Porto and 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce, while they got their first European victory of the season when beating PAOK Salonica 2-0 at Old Trafford last week, this result lifting them to 15th position in the 36-team Europa League table. While the Red Devils continue their battle to make it into the next round of the tournament, the bookies make them 2nd favourites to lift the trophy at a best price of 6/1, slightly behind 5/1 favourites Tottenham Hotspur.
No Trophy – 4/11
After claiming a single piece of silverware in 2023/24, the bookmakers aren’t optimistic about their chances of adding to their trophy haul in the current season. The Premier League trophy is realistically out of the question and the side are hardly setting the Europa League alight, however the Red Devils are still very much in contention in the Carabao Cup with a place in the last eight of the competition and this perhaps provides them with their best chance of winning silverware in 2024/25.
