Dundee v Rangers Match Preview & Best Odds

Kick-off: 7.45pm UK Time, Wednesday 1st November 2023

Following a somewhat dramatic comeback win in their last outing at the weekend, Rangers now find themselves just five points adrift of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic and they will look to keep the pressure on their arch-rivals when they travel to Tayside this evening.

After struggling to find their feet under Michael Beale, Rangers decided that a change of manager was the best way forward and under new boss Philippe Clement they have triumphed in each of their first two Premiership outings under his guidance. Clement’s tenure got underway in excellent fashion with a 4-0 thumping of Hibernian at Ibrox and after a goal-less draw at Sparta Prague in the Europa League, they returned to winning ways with a last-gasp 2-1 win at home to Heart of Midlothian.

This result edged them to within five points of league leaders Celtic but the Ibrox club know that they have a huge mountain to climb. Nevertheless, the Light Blues will be confident of continuing their winning league run under Clement when they face Dundee at Dens Park tonight.

Dundee head into this clash in high spirits following a 2-0 win away to Livingston on Saturday afternoon. The Dark Blues have gone unbeaten in six of their last seven games, their sole defeat during this time coming against Celtic at Parkhead. The Tayside outfit sit in fifth position in the Premiership table but given that they are just two points above the bottom two in the table, this lofty position means relatively little.

The Dark Blues have been a tough nut to crack since the start of the current campaign but Rangers are very much rejuvenated under Clement and they have the quality to keep the home side at bay throughout and claim all three points in this midweek Premiership clash.
